Ask most candle brands for "the beach" and you'll get coconut, sugar and monoi oil. That's not the beach. That's a bag of sun cream.

There's no sweetness in it. No coconut, no vanilla, no tropical fruit. It is a cool scent, and that's what makes it useful in a way the sunscreen candles aren't.

It's the summer default. When the woody scents feel too heavy in July, this is where our customers go. It's the most-reordered scent we make between May and August.

Why soy wax matters for marine scents
Ozonic and marine notes are among the most fragile in perfumery. They're built from very light molecules whose entire job is to suggest air, and heat destroys them faster than any other note type.
That's why so many beach candles smell wonderful in the shop and disappointing at home: the cold throw is all top note, and the moment a hot paraffin wick gets to work, the airy part vanishes and you're left with the musky base.
Soy wax burns cooler, which is the whole reason our Ocean Breeze still smells like sea air in hour three. It's also why we press the lid point harder with this scent than most: an open jar loses those top notes even unlit.

First burn: two to three hours to a full edge-to-edge melt pool
Trim to ¼ inch before every burn
Four hours maximum per session
Lid on between burns — more important here than for any woody scent
Keep out of direct sunlight, which degrades light fragrance oils quickly
